We were going to see the Nutcracker at the McCaw Hall. So we thought it would be convenient to pick a restaurant nearby before the show. We both picked the same place…Boat Street Cafe! www.boatstreetcafe.com It is an unprententious French restaurant in lower Queen Anne. Neither one of us is all that crazy about French food, but Boat Street Cafe serves the BEST crabcakes ($26) in Seattle. Seriously! Here is what else we got – Frank had the ribeye steak ($28). But we started our meal with the pear salad ($12) and the butter lettuce salad ($9). We also shared a bread pudding ($8) at the end of our meal. We should have probably skipped dessert, because we were almost late to the show, but it was definitely worth it. If you like crabcakes, this is a place you will have to stop by someday soon. Sooner the better. And go ahead and get the bread pudding – it is really good.
